We have 2 children (son and daughter) who had been struggling with math in school. With Covid putting them behind in their education we tried 2 different educational agencies in the hopes of seeing better results with their grades. These places had on average of 4 students (of varying age and behaviours) per tutor. The tutors changed weekly as did their qualifications. Patrick has been tutoring our son who is in Grade 5 and generally does very well in math. We asked Patrick to tutor him to help him excel in the Caribou math contests held through the public school he attends. Patrick comes prepared each week with a customized approach which challenges and engages our 11 year old. Our son does the homework and is excited to see Patrick each week. We have seen dramatic results in our son’s math scores as a result of learned concepts, timed assessments, and improved test taking strategies including the ability make educated choices during time sensitive scenarios. Patrick was a fantastic tutor. My grades went up almost immediately after our first session together (University - Engineering Statics). He was very patient and understanding and spent time reviewing fundamental concepts from previous math courses with me. Patrick also helped me find different ways to approach problems until we found one that worked best for me. He wasn’t afraid to take on some more challenging questions, and always walked me through steps. After just a few sessions, I was able to tackle tougher problems with very minimal help!
