I am a father, professional engineer (P.Eng.), educator, and martial arts enthusiast and am excited to be serving the community through my private tutoring services. I left the engineering field several years ago to pursue to my passion for teaching and mathematics which continues to be an extremely rewarding experience.

Outside of my career, I value time with my family and friends. I also enjoy martial arts, video games, chess, documentaries, philosophical discussions, learning about investments, and international travel.

I’ve taught in both formal classroom and tutoring settings for a combined 6 years to both adults and children including up to University level.

 

Since 2014, I have also been teaching children and adults as a martial arts instructor. In other extracurricular activities, I am the Vice President of a not-for-profit organization that helps provide affordable martial arts to all families. As a result of my experiences, including having great role models growing up, I know how important it is to have great teachers that inspire, guide, and appropriately challenge students.

 

I believe in my students' potential where my teaching philosophy is not to dictate, but to guide, instruct, and mentor in a way that proves to you the capabilities you had all along. The outcome is one of self-confidence and improved skills that you can take with you beyond our classroom setting and subject matter.
